You know, I haven't even scrolled the "Categories" to see if they have an "Other" option. Or perhaps a "Nothing in Particular" option would be good for me. I'm so noncommittal and I hate the pressure of picking a category to describe my day-to-day life.

-Someone just called the office sounding REALLY far away. There was a delay, in fact. She also had an accent. I'm thinking India or Bangladesh. She was selling something. She said her name was Anna Davis. Call me crazy, but I'm inclined not to believe her when she tells me that. Why should I believe anything else she says?

So I have the office pretty much to myself this morning. Just me and the younger guys. I offered to order out for pizza and beer, but I don't know how we'd all feel at around lunch, or even 2pm if we did do that. Well, ok, bloated and sleepy. Not the best looks for me.

It's Wednesday. Finally. In two days it will be Friday. Finally. And then I will take my ass to see "I Heart Huckabees". Looking forward to seeing Jude in his second of SIX movies he has coming out this season. It's like they're having a sale on Jude Law. Jude Law with Naomi Watts, who has yet to impress me. I just keep looking at her thinking,"You're like Nicole Kidman's younger sister. I just keep thinking of Nicole. If I wanted to see Nicole I would go see Nicole." At any rate, I hope to be entertained and possibly enlightened, after having to endure "Ass Captain" and all of its hype, including that of Ralph Garmen (is it Garmen or Garment?) of Kevin and Bean fame. You disappoint me, Ralph. Seriously though, who, among you DIDN'T want Jude to take one of a multitude of opportunities to end his sufferring and kill Gwyneth Paltrow's character? She was arguably the most annoying female lead character in the history of cinema-- clearly the creation of an oft-rejected ubergeek who has no positive female role-models in his life because of his agoraphobic tendencies resulting in underdeveloped social skills.

Tonight is the first of the political debates between Kerry and Bush. I can't get excited. I can't even get mad anymore. With Connie's help, this country has driven me to Apathy. Folks, there IS such a thing as too much news. Interesting theory...there are physicists and philosophers in the world who believe that everything is balanced. MY theory is that Connie watches so much news because, unbeknownst (sp?) to her, the laws of physics are at work, and she is making up for the fact that thousands upon thousands of others are NOT watching the news. Anyway, the debates are NOT going to change my mind about whom to vote for. I'm NOT going to have some sort of epiphany and decide that bombing dark-skinned peoples is the right thing to do to save our country, and "fear" is an appropriate tactic to use on my own people in order to get what I want.

One more little rant before I go. Last weekend I went and saw "The Motorcycle Diaries", which I thought was wonderfully made, and would highly recommend it to anyone. My rant isn't about the movie. It's about the irony of the fact that Che Guevara is best known for fighting and winning battles in the name of Communism, and now his face is plastered all over t-shirts, wristbands, and posters like Britney Spears and has become a tool for the Capitalist machine. I'm willing to wager that three quarter of the people who wear him on t-shirts have no idea who he was or what he stood for, particularly fashionistas and models. Oh, and while I'm talking about fashionistas, why is it that we listen to people who spend their waking hours high on cocaine, who can't even function sober, to give us fashion advice? I mean, these are people who told us that coullottes and neckerchiefs were a GOOD thing.

Just a little something to think about.

Just out of curiosity, where are you TracySamantha? Neither "I Heart Huckabees" or "The Motorcycle Diaries" are coming out in Salt Lake City until mid-October and I am soooooo bummed. Good article, btw, I found I mostly agreed with your positions and that's always nice. And not just the politics but also the inaneness of having to pick a topic for articles. That's a major pet peeve. I always list everything under "miscellaneous" on principle.

I'm in Southern California. Nice weather. The people suck. Saw I Heart Huckabees. It was pretty good, conceptually. Don't expect a plot, really. It has some interesting ideas to share, and, though I find Marky Mark to be rather irritating in most of his films, I actually enjoyed watching him this time.

"Miscellaneous" is good. I'll do that.

Thanks for reading and enjoying.
